Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapist

Amicare’s Occupational Therapists (OT) are professionals who support people to manage psychological, developmental, emotional or physical impairments. The aim of the OT is to provide solutions and services in order for people to participate fully in life. OTs support clients to adopt a different way of performing tasks and prescribe equipment or aids to make activities easier and safer to do.

Our specialised OTs’ key focus area is to support older Australians in recovery from illness and injury, preserve daily functional ability and prevent major slips, trips and falls.

Amicare’s OTs can support you with:

  • In-home OT services
  • Environmental assessments in home or in residential care.
  • Assess function and cognition
  • Prescribe equipment, aids and other mobility tools
  • Ergonomic assessments
  • Upper limb assessments and treatments
  • Staff training
  • Reablement programs

Our Multidisciplinary allied health team work collaboratively with each other and other key stakeholders. If you would like to know more about our Occupational Therapy services, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
