Occupational Therapist
Occupational therapists support the treatment and management of injuries and chronic conditions through the therapeutic use of daily activities, adaptive equipment and tools. A passionate OT is person-centred and is able to support people who may not be feeling their best. Their personable demeanour is a must in the client-facing role.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Essential:
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (or reliable transport)
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Occupational Health and Safety legislation, Accreditation Standards and ACFI
- Understanding of holistic, person-centred principles
- Practical clinical experience within the aged care environment
- Good verbal and written skills
- Good computer skills and experience with commonly used software and applications
Desirable:
- Proven experience within the healthcare sector (aged care, disability and community)
- An understanding of aged care accreditation standards
- Speak languages other than English
