Physiotherapists are experts in the musculoskeletal structure of the human body and movement. Aged care physiotherapists are versed in supporting people in the later stage of life and the associated challenges including chronic health conditions such as diabetes, osteoarthritis and neurological conditions. Physiotherapists can diagnose and develop management plans to reduce the impact of these conditions and injuries on a person’s daily function.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Essential:

  • Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (or reliable transport)
  • Understanding of holistic, person-centred principles
  • Practical clinical experience within the aged care environment
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Good computer skills and experience with commonly used software and applications

Desirable:

  • Proven experience within the healthcare sector (aged care, disability and community)
  • An understanding of aged care accreditation standards
  • Speak languages other than English
